I found Hillside Inn to be a basic but generally enjoyable stay. The check-in process was straightforward, and the receptionist greeted me with a smile. My room was clean and had all necessary amenities, including a fridge and microwave. The two queen beds were comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. I really appreciated that the hotel is pet-friendly since I traveled with my dog, and the $20 pet fee was reasonable. However, there were some inconveniences. The water took an unusually long time to warm up, which was frustrating, especially on the second day when it barely got warm at all. Also, the air conditioning unit was a window type, which meant I couldn’t fully close the blackout curtains. Sunlight came in from the sides, making it bright early in the morning. Despite these issues, I’d consider returning if they could sort out the water heating and the AC situation.

During my recent stay, I enjoyed the clean and spacious room with a comfortable bed that made for restful nights. The breakfast was decent, though a few more options would have been nice. Parking was a bit tricky at times, so arrive early for the best spots.

The sheets had a strong odor that was quite unpleasant, and our nonsmoking room unfortunately had smoke seeping in through the vents. The bed linens were put on inside out and noticeably stained, while the pillowcases had a yellow tint. Additionally, the lack of heat control and a broken window made the stay even more uncomfortable. This experience was disappointing, and we struggled to get any sleep at all.
